JENITRI TREE



Form and Meaning Jenitri Fruit
  • Rudraksha - called Jenitri in India is 25-30 m tall plants with erect stems and round brown. Along the edge of the leaves are serrated and tapered at the end. In the language of India, Rudraksa derived from the word Rudra means Lord Shiva and Aksa means eyes. So the overall meaning: Eye of Shiva.
  • As the name implies, the Hindus believe the god rudraksa the tears that drip to the earth.

          In Indonesia, the incarnation of Lord Shiva's seed is popularly known ganitri, genitri, or Jenitri. Indonesia is the largest exporter and production world. Jenitri tree or Elaeocarpus ganitrus Latin language is widely grown in Central Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Bali and Timor. Indonesia supplies 70% needs Jenitri are exported in the form of seed grain. A  total of  20% more supply from Nepal. As for India, the most widely used Rudaksa produces only 5%.
